What to settle early
Who carries the risk
With a general contract, Harrison holds the subcontracts and is accountable to you for the whole job. You have one point of contact and one schedule.
When to bring us in
The earlier the better. Our pre-construction services (due diligence, estimating, value engineering, constructability review) are most useful before the lease is signed or the drawings are final.
How you stay informed
Regular progress meetings and electronic reports keep the owner involved from the first site visit to the final punch list. We aim to be upfront about budgets, schedules and obstacles.
Harrison Construction started in 2011 with interior finish-out work and later set up a ground-up division, so the same team can take a project from a shell space or a bare pad to opening day. We are fully bonded and insured and licensed in Texas and other states.
- Site visit and review of the construction documents
- Conceptual estimate, value engineering and a development schedule
- Bidding and subcontractor qualification, then permitting
- Mobilization, construction meetings, safety and electronic reports
- Final details, punch list and close-out documents

Why owners choose Harrison for general contracting
Restaurants, finish-outs and medical offices, built here
Founded in Fort Worth by Lonnie Harrison, who has more than 25 years in construction. 190 completed projects on record in 8 states, for Firehouse Subs, Sonic, Five Guys, Taco Cabana, Starbucks, El Pollo Loco and 7-Eleven, among 73 brands.
Licensed in Texas and 29 other states
What a landlord, a lender and a franchise brand ask for first, with a ground-up division and a finish-out team under one roof.
Meetings, reports, changes priced first
Regular progress meetings and electronic project reports from the site visit to the punch list. A change is priced and approved before it is built.
What does a commercial general contractor do?
A general contractor takes responsibility for the whole construction project: pricing it, pulling permits, hiring and scheduling the trade subcontractors, managing safety and quality, and closing the project out with the owner. Harrison Construction does this for restaurants, finish-outs, medical offices and retail in Fort Worth and Dallas–Fort Worth.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. Harrison Construction is fully bonded and insured. Ask us for certificates for your project or your landlord.
What types of commercial projects do you handle?
Restaurant build-outs and freestanding restaurants, tenant finish-outs for restaurant, retail and medical tenants, dental and medical offices and surgery centers, convenience stores, retail stores, pet-care facilities, and remodels of operating businesses.
How will I know what is happening on my project?
Through regular progress meetings and electronic project reports from the start of the project to its completion, with open communication about budgets, schedules and potential obstacles.
Do you work outside Fort Worth?
Yes. We work across Dallas–Fort Worth and Texas, and we are licensed in other states for brands that roll out several locations.
